To tourist observation tower Krahulský peak

The observation tower was built to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Kremnicas´s ownership rights renewal of its historical forest property and independent management of this property during 1992-2012

Beautiful view of ancient Kremnica together with all important points in the surroundings are offered from the new observation tower, built above the town. By the walk up to the hill your trim will be tested, but the outcome is worth this effort.
The tower was built on Krahuľský peak 959 m above the sea level, wooden construction is 13,5 m high. From the observation platform in the height of 9 m you can enjoy view of Štiavnické Mountains, Žiarska Basin, Vtáčnik, you will see Kunešov and Turčianska Basin in the north, and the main ridge of Kremnica Mountains in the east.

We begin the walk from the main starting point in the centre of the town, marked path rises through Castle Square and Gróbňa- gardens, we continue through the railway line and we reach the  the tower in around one hour. Footpath continues alongside the church in the village Krahule. Less skilled, as well as for families with children, we recommend a simpler route to the tower - from the church in Krahule
