The Cross-Country Skiing Festival is the greatest event of its kind in Slovakia. Constantly growing number of competitors and audience indicates, that this kind of winter hiking has become more sought out alternative of active rest and relaxation. Kremnica Mountains' glamour attracts winter and summer tourists for long decades. They offer training opportunities to young generation, but also professionals. Their international contests' achievements motivate vast public to active exercise. When optimal and permanently maintained ski tracks as it were round the corner are added to it, the reason why not to try it does not virtually exist. Skalka is the paradise for cross-country skiers and the town of Kremnica itself. It is not a coincidance, that this contest was naturalized here, in optimal conditions of Skalka. The contest with its significance ranked into European structures of mass winter cross-country events. Today the White Track is inseparable part of the Euroloppet - the European series of long-distance cross-country skiing. It is the equal partner to such contests, as are: Konig-Ludwig-Lauf in Germany or Marcialonga in Italy. It is the result of the annual hard work of organizing committee and the endless row of Kremnica volunteers, who live with the race 365 days a year. The three days of the White Track bring fun, sports performance and meeting of friends, above all.
