Pohronie - Kremnica Cycle Round

The cycle route starts from Kremnica center, from parking lot Jeleň, where is also the information board with guidelines of the cycle route and service offer. From the parking lot it goes left along paved, later asphalt road and continues to intersection with main road from direction of Žiar nad Hronom. It crosses main road and continues towards to village Lúčky. It ascends by garden plantations on the right side and then descends to Lúčky, where you can refresh yourselves. It continues uphill and gets above Kopernica, from where you can have a nice view of surrounding country. A reward is also 2km downhill trail to village Kopernica, where it immediately turns to the left. It goes to the village end and continues along macadam pathway instead of asphalt. Forests and meadows intensify countryside character of surrounding. The trail then comes out from forest undergrowth, gets on crossroad, where it turns left in direction of Lutila. It goes through the village center and behind the village it turns left to Žiar nad Hronom. From here the cycle route goes along the regional roads parallel with main road from Handlová to Žiar and later it hooks up on Partizánska road (old road from Žiar to Kremnica). It passes by the last houses on the left side, the river Hron is on the right one. It goes straight and approximately in the middle of the route it passes by motorest Valašský šenk and continues towards to Trnavá Hora. Good quality and less frequent road takes you to the village center to local inn, where it turns left and slightly ascends in direction of Ihráč. Here the trail crosses railway track, it passes by Children Vacational Republic Tralaland on the right side and twists in peaceful mountain surrounding of Kremnica Mouintains along the regional roads. Roads are surrounded by fields and mountain meadows. It comes to a small group of houses nearby roads intersection. The cycle route continues to the left to Ihráč (turning to right takes you to water reservoir Ihráč-Píla, where you can swim). Just before the end of village road sign there is a spring, where you can refill water. Behind sharp left turn curve it continues uphill above Nevoľné. Approximately in the middle of the hill, where it turns slightly to the right, you can have a nice view of Ihráčsky potok Valley and the village you just left. On the highest point of the cycle route, above the village Nevoľné there is a shelter, where you can have rest and a spring of water. Here you are only a few kilometres away from the route's end. It continues downhill to Kremnica with nice views of valleys of Kremnica Mountains. If you need to refill water, you can do so in front of the road sign marking the town frontier, just before you enter Kremnica. The route's end is the town square, where it started.
